Patriots

You cried out loud that you're Haitian,
But does your actions prove it?
You shout you proud of where you from,
What do you do to improve it?
You sing, "Pour le drapeau pour la Patrie"
But refuse to return there.
Always ready to begrime it,
It is this, it is that...,
It will never change.

How can she change,
When her children desist her?
Yes, for better opportunity,
But never go back.
How can she change,
When you only complain about government's actions
And won't even help forge your brothers and sisters future?
How can she change,
When to represent it, you hide behind the curtains?
Why would she change
When one of us build something, we always destroy them
Instead of empowering them?

It will never change!!

Our mentality is enslaved with hate and envy.
We won't accept the triumph of others
We put aside our ancestry, our culture
Just because of our masters's ignorance
who easily made us crawl at their feet.
You said insecurity is a scourge,
But how do people still live there,
making the best of their lives.
And in this new land,
sobbing about bills,
And always whisper" Nan peyim"
Don't you remember Bois Caiman?
It is in that spirit of unity we won
I'm not asking you to do voodoo
But don't forget what made you free.
Don't push away all this history
Don't destroy this unique mark
Without them, we have nothing,
We are nothing!!!

Hypocrite, liar that is what you are.
Bashing it daily, but reveals the greatest Mambo, Hougan at night

Haitian, what have you become?
Haitian, wake up!!!
Haitian, why don't you love others?
Haitian, will you do your part?
Haitian, it is time to be "Ayisyen".
